The Refuge du Dauphin is a time where MED opens its doors to welcome children between 6 and 12 years old, all year round. In this living space, children are surrounded by significant adults who welcome them as they are.
We take the time daily to be with the children and accompany them during the adventure that can be represented by the fact that being a developing child and growing up, in its figurative sense! Supporting them in what they are experiencing, listening to them, considering them and we hope to, maybe, inspire them.
It is in this warm and safe living environment that they learn to accept themselves, and others, with their strengths, challenges, diversity, and life baggage. We hope that the time spent at the Refuge du Dauphin allows children to experience successes, be heard, and acquire the tools to help them grow and flourish. Every afternoon, we leave the children the freedom to choose what they want to do to during their time spent at the house. The Refuge is the ideal place where children can simply be children!
